The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System at the St Albans Campus, intends to award a sole source contract to I C S for the maintenance and servicing of software related to laundry machines. Market research identified I C S as the only vendor capable of meeting the specialized requirements necessary for maintaining this equipment to manufacturer standards. The contract includes monthly on-site service visits, database and network maintenance, troubleshooting, and cost analysis reports. The service period is from October 1, 2013, to September 30, 2014, with the option to extend for four additional years. The agreement stipulates an anticipated average of 24 hours of service per month and payment will be made in monthly installments. This notice serves as a declaration of intent to award without soliciting proposals or quotations, although interested parties may submit detailed expressions of interest by February 6, 2014, for the purpose of determining potential competition.
