The contract involves the procurement of two low-power amplifiers, identified by NSN 7E-5996-015991517 and TDP VER 002, to be delivered FOB origin to Moog Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a sole-source procurement where the Government intends to negotiate exclusively with Moog Inc., citing the uneconomical nature of acquiring data rights or reverse engineering for purchase from alternative sources. Although this notice is not a solicitation for competitive proposals, other interested parties may express their interest or submit quotes within specified timeframes. The Government will consider any received proposals but retains full discretion to proceed without competition based on the responses. The acquisition is governed under FAR 6.302-1, allowing negotiation with a single source due to unique circumstances. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense’s Navsup Weapon Systems Support in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Interested parties may access relevant military and federal standards documents through established DoD channels but should note that some technical documents like patterns or drawings are not stocked and are unavailable through these sources. The Government has determined that commercial item acquisition policies in FAR Part 12 do not apply, although parties may still propose commercial alternatives within 15 days. The solicitation number is N0010417PDG36, and additional details and updates are accessible through the government’s contract portal.
