The Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point intends to award a sole source requirements contract to Value Tool and Engineering, Inc. for the calibration of curvic gages to support the Fleet Readiness Center East Support Team. The procurement is structured as a one year base contract with four optional additional years, with an estimated annual quantity of 23 units. This sole source approach is necessitated by Honeywell holding the proprietary rights to the Grand Master Curvic Gage required for calibration, with Honeywell mandating that the government utilize Value Tool and Engineering, Inc. for these services. While this notice serves as an intent to award rather than a request for competitive quotes, the government will consider quotes and expressions of interest submitted within fifteen days of publication. The final determination on whether to proceed with a competitive procurement remains at the sole discretion of the government based on the capabilities identified in the responses received.
