This contract pertains to the fiscal year 2014 orders under a Basic Ordering Agreement for the repair, modification, and servicing of various critical weapon system components, including those supporting UYA-21, BQQ-5/6, Tartar, and Sidewinder Missile Systems. Raytheon in Norfolk, VA, is identified as the sole approved source capable of performing full repairs, due to possessing exclusive technical data and rights not available from the government. Key high-value repair parts include the Sensor Assembly (P/N G708417-3), Radio Frequency Filter (P/N G745465-1), and Noncrystal Oscillator (P/N 2545819REVB). The contract specifies that individual orders exceeding $25,000 will be publicly synopsized as required and that any new sources must be approved by the government prior to award, though the approval process typically precludes delays in contracting. The procurement process emphasizes the mission-critical nature of these items and the limited availability of adequate technical data to support a competitive repair environment. As such, only the previously government-approved source, Raytheon, has been solicited for this work. The contract is managed by NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support office, located in Mechanicsburg, PA, and falls under NAICS code 334412, which relates to electronic component manufacturing. Questions regarding the notice or a complete item list can be directed to the appointed contact at the respective organization.
