The Bureau of Land Mangement, Fillmore, Utah has a requirement to perform various repairs on their Caterpillar DH7 Dozer including repair/rebuild/or replace the engine, replace Grousers, replace cutting edges on the front blade and several other repair and maintenace items. The equipment must be repaired/replaced with CAT OEM parts to ensure warranty on the equipment. The equipment is located in Fillmore, UT and prior solicitations for equipment repairs on this equipment have yielded no reasonable expectation that more than two small businesses would apply for this work. The only CAT Authorized Dealer in Utah is Wheeler Machinery based out of Salt Lake City. They have been, historically, the only CATERPILLAR dealer to quote on requirements for the Fillmore DH7 Dozer in the past. It is therefore the intent of the Bureau of Land Management to award a sole source award to Wheeler Machinery on or about August 21, 2014.
