This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.

This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR 5.201. The purpose is to announce the USGS intent to solicit and negotiate on a sole-source basis for a five-year service and maintenance agreement to support the SPECTROMAT‑TI BOX (Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer—TIMS) located at the USGS National Center, Reston, VA. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, travel, supervision, and technical expertise necessary for on-site preventative maintenance, 24/7 remote support, and OEM-certified technician services, in accordance with the Statement of Work.

This requirement is for commercial items/services as defined in FAR 2.101 and will be prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.2 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice.
