The Department of Defense is conducting a market survey to identify qualified sources for the obsolescence redesign and Pre Planned Product Improvement of the Joint Tactical Terminal Common Integrated Broadcast Service-Module. The JTT is a secure UHF SATCOM and Line of Sight terminal used to deliver time-sensitive battlefield targeting information to tactical commanders across all military services. Interested parties must demonstrate the capability to identify obsolete hardware and software components, perform redesigns, and conduct prototype testing to ensure the system continues to meet strict system specifications. Specific P3I upgrades required for the JTT include the integration of emerging IBS Common Integrated Broadcast waveforms, Common Message Format on the red side processor, and upgrades to embedded COMSEC modules. While Raytheon is the original equipment manufacturer, the government is seeking sources with sufficient technical production and program management experience to handle these updates. This is a sources-sought notice intended to exchange capabilities and ideas, with responses due by December 17, 2004.
