W25G1V-13-R-0002 This is published as sole source announcement under the statutory authority at 10 USC2304(c) (1), and regulatory authority at FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground-Tobyhanna Division, Tobyhanna, PA 18466 intends to negotiate and award a contract for the repair and overhaul of the following items on a sole source basis to Herley Industries, Inc. 10 Sonar Drive, Woburn, MA 01801-5704; The proposed contract is to inspect, test and repair 150 each base contract, 75 each option 1, 75 each option 2, Microwave Diplexer Switch Assemblies, in accordance with drawing A3263639, NIIN 01-534-2170. The Microwave Diplexer Switch Assembly is a critical component of the Radar Antiaircraft Weapon Warning System, AN/APR-39A (V)2 and AN/APR-39B (V)2 originally designed by Northrop Grumman Corp. Herley Industries, Inc. manufactures the Microwave Diplexer Switch Assembly for Northrop Grumman and is the only known repair facility. Herley MDI, as a subcontractor to Northrop Grumman, is the only known qualified manufacturer and repair facility that has successfully supplied and repaired Microwave Diplexer Switch Assemblies for use in the AN/APR-39A/B (V) 2. Only Herley Industries is in possession of the proprietary operational parameter data. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide this service, you must respond within fifteen (15) days of this notice.
