Full Description

The 55th Contracting Squadron, Offutt AFB, NE intends to issue a sole source purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Vaisala, Inc. for maintenance to Air Force Weather Agency (AFWA) World-wide Lightning/Thunderstorm Detection system. Vaisala is the only responsible source that can provide this service. This is not a request for quotation nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged. All timely responses will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not it is advantageous for the Government to conduct a competitive procurement; no award will be made on the basis of any response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed order on a full and competitive basis, based upon response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this publication.
