Full Description

SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE TO MTS SYSTEMS CORPORATION FOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF A BIRDGE CROSSING SIMULATOR The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (Installation Contracting Division), Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to negotiate solely (as prescribed in FAR 6.302-1) with MTS Systems Corporation, 14000 Technology Dr, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. The contractor shall provide maintenance, repair and parts for a period of one year, with 3 one year options, on Aberdeen Test Centers Bridge Crossing Simulator. MTS Systems Corporation designed this custom system and is the only one capable of servicing it, much of which includes proprietary designs and software. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334519 and the size standard is 500 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest, in writing, to the Government point of contact. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 3:00 PM, Eastern Daylight Time, January 3, 2012. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers.
