The Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) plans to award sole source fixed price contracts to Aerospace Integration Corporation and Crestview Aerospace Corporation for performing over and above aircraft repairs on AFSOC-owned assets. These repairs will be conducted at the companies' facilities in Crestview, Florida, under ongoing repair, overhaul, or modification contracts administered by the Warner-Robins Air Logistics Center at Robins AFB, Georgia. The contracts specifically cover minor, non-modification-related issues discovered while the aircraft are at the repair facilities. Because these companies are solely responsible and liable for the condition of the aircraft on their premises, no other contractors are eligible to perform these non-mod related repairs, justifying the sole-source procurement. Each contract has an estimated ceiling value of up to $250,000 over five years, with the relevant NAICS codes being 336411 for overhaul or restoration and 488190 for aircraft maintenance or repair excluding overhaul or modification. Interested parties wishing to challenge the sole-source designation must notify the contracting officer before the response deadline. The anticipated award date is January 8, 2007, and inquiries can be directed to the Contracting Officer, Louise Peterson. This notice does not serve as a request for proposals but as an initial step to confirm whether a competitive procurement should be pursued.
