J--Service contract repair of X500R GC/QToF mass spectrometer

The Environmental Protection Agency, through its Office of Applied Sciences and Environmental Solutions, has established a sole-source service agreement with AB Sciex LLC for the preventative maintenance and repair of an AB Sciex X500R LC QToF mass spectrometer. This contract, identified by solicitation number 68HERW26R0056, runs from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The procurement is justified under 41 USC 1901 and FAR 12.102(b) because AB Sciex LLC is the original equipment manufacturer and the only source capable of providing the proprietary parts and certified technical expertise required to maintain the system without voiding the warranty. The estimated contract value is not to exceed 900,000 dollars. The scope of work includes one annual preventative maintenance visit, on-site troubleshooting, and a guaranteed two-business-day onsite response time for repairs.
