J--SERVICE MAINTENANCE FOR SURGICAL STEALTH SYSTEM MANHATTAN CAMPUS PERIOD EFFECTIVE FROM 10/1/2011 THROUGH 09/30/2012

Sole Source Notice of Intent The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx New York, intends to award a Limited Sources contract under the authority of FAR 8.405-6 Limited Sources Justification to Medtronic Navigation INC., DBA as Sofamor Danek, located at 826 Coal Creek Circle Louisville, CO 80027 due to the fact that they have copyrighted/patented Surgical Stealth Station Systems Medtronic Navigation INC., will furnish all service and maintenance for the Stealth Station navigation system only. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of fifty-seven (57) months. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. After January 12, 2011, Dept of VA shall negotiate solely with Medtronic Navigation Inc. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted.
