Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) plans to extend the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Sechan Electronics, Incorporated, originally set to expire on July 6, 2002, by one additional year. This extension will allow continued issuance of orders for materials and services supporting studies and analyses related to Performance Expansion Modules for the AN/SPA-25 Radar Display. The agreement is a sole-source contract, as Sechan Electronics is currently the only known provider with the required technical expertise and resources to perform these specialized engineering tasks efficiently and cost-effectively. Under this BOA, orders may be issued as firm fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, or time and materials contracts. This action is being conducted pursuant to statutory authority allowing non-competitive procurement. While the government will negotiate exclusively with Sechan Electronics, potential subcontractors are encouraged to reach out to Sechan’s subcontracting department for opportunities. The announcement serves primarily to inform interested parties and ensure transparency, though no other sources will be considered for the performance of this work.
