Full Description

SURGICAL STEREOTACTIC NAVIGATION MAINTENANCE and SURGICAL SUPPORT SERVICES. The VA Upstate New York Healthcare System intends to award a contract to Medtronic Navigation, Inc., for a Service Contract on a Medtronic Stealthstation including Treon plus software with an AxiEM electromagnetic tracking system, to also include: Eight (8) on-site Surgical Support services, and the option to purchase about fifteen (15) additional on-site Surgical Support services on an as-needed basis during the term of this contract. The period of performance of this Contract will be subsequent to Award for twelve (12) months, subject to availability of funds after September 30, 2009; As well as for four (4) Option Years, of twelve (12) months each. The place of performance will be at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210. The VAMC is aware of no other source that can provide service, parts, software updates and bug fixes, and on-site surgical support for this equipment which is manufactured and distributed by Medtronic Navigation, Inc, of Louisville, CO 80027. Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) Justification: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is not a request for competitive quotation. However, if any interested party believes it can perform the above listed requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. All interested parties must respond to this notice within 7 days in writing to contact@example.gov, by fax 585/393-7883. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
