This contract pertains to the procurement of six units of a flow control valve (NSN 7H-4810-014851393, TDP Version 003) to be delivered FOB origin to Advanced Turbine Services LLC located in Meriden, Connecticut. The contract is issued by the Department of Defense's Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mech office based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The notice of intent clarifies that this acquisition is a non-competitive, sole-source action, emphasizing that the government plans to negotiate exclusively with the current supplier due to the lack of sufficient, accurate, or legible data to purchase the part from other sources. Interested parties are invited to express interest and capability, but the government retains full discretion in deciding whether to open competition. The procurement involves repair or modification services for the valve, as indicated by the contract title. Although this notice is not a request for competitive quotes, any quotes submitted before the award date will still be considered. The arrangement reflects a specific need for a specialized part, and the government's decision to limit procurement to the incumbent supplier stems from operational requirements and data constraints. This approach is consistent with the agency's intent to maintain supply chain continuity and ensure timely delivery of critical components for defense systems.
