The US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, plans to award a sole source purchase order for warrantied maintenance and repairs of Yamaha Outboard Motor Engines. This procurement will extend for a base period plus two option years and requires contracting exclusively with a certified Yamaha dealer employing a Yamaha Master Technician to maintain warranty integrity. The justification for sole sourcing is based on the fact that only Yamaha-certified service providers can meet the agency's technical and warranty requirements, and awarding to any other source would lead to unnecessary additional costs that the government cannot recoup through competition. This notice serves only as a statement of intent and not a solicitation or request for proposals. The Corps is collecting information solely to determine if a competitive procurement should be pursued. Interested parties may submit their responses to the designated contact by a specified deadline. The procurement relates to maintenance services under NAICS code 333618, and the contracting office is located in Jacksonville, Florida.
