The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 is conducting market research to identify capable vendors for solid waste removal services at the Richmond Central Virginia VA Health Care System, with an anticipated contract start date of October 1, 2026, and a potential five-year performance period including four option years. The scope includes comprehensive collection, compaction, and disposal of general solid waste and recyclable materials at multiple locations across the facility, including regular weekly and tri-weekly pickups at designated building sites using a variety of container sizes ranging from 8-yard to 42-yard units, with specific service frequencies including Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Thursdays. The contract also requires monitoring and marketing of recyclable commodities such as cardboard and mixed metal, along with monthly reporting on recyclable proceeds.
