J054--LCHCC Exterior Glass Panel Replacement

The Department of Veterans Affairs, through Network Contracting Office 8, is seeking proposals for a non-personal services contract to replace forty impact glass panels in the curtain wall system at the Lee County Health Clinic located at 2489 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral, Florida. This solicitation is designated as an open market small business set aside with a NAICS code of 238150 andProduct Service Code J056, and the response deadline is June 29, 2026. The contractor is required to remove all damaged existing glass panels and gaskets, properly dispose of the materials in compliance with regulations, and install new impact-resistant glass units that meet hurricane and projectile impact standards for Florida, adhering to national and state codes. The new glass must conform to exact specifications: 5/16 inch blue green or closest match, fully tempered, with a 7/16 inch argon-filled airspace, mill finish, 1/4 inch clear heat strengthened inner pane, .045 inch clear PVB interlayer, and 1/2 inch black silicone sightline, with edge deletion VRE-59 #2. A 12x12 inch sample must be provided for color and construction approval prior to full production. The contractor must supply all necessary equipment, including lifts, as the government will not provide any. All work must be conducted with minimal disruption to facility operations, while ensuring personnel wear appropriate uniforms and visible identification badges, park only in designated areas, and remain escorted by a VA employee at all times. Smoking is strictly prohibited on site. The contractor is fully liable for any damage to government property and must repair such damage at no cost to the government.
