The requirement will be sole sourced to CEPHEID INC, 904 Caribbean DR. Sunnyvale CA. 94089. CEPHEID INC. will provide services and preventative maintenance services for GeneXpert Analyzer. GeneXpert Analyzer is the only source for required preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs and urgent services. The vendor has proprietary software that is not offered or authorized to third party vendors. A sole source letter was received from CEPHEID service department which states that CEPHEID doesn t authorize third-party vendors to service CEPHEID equipment due to proprietary hardware and software, to include software updates. All services and a manufacturer s maintenance service plan. All warranties and guarantees on the system are voided if an unauthorized third-party vendor is engaged. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code is 811219 and has a size standard of $22M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 1:00p.m. CST, April 12, 2022 to: george.cochran@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
