The Department of Veterans Affairs, through the Great Lakes Acquisition Center and Contract Office 12 (36C252), intends to award a sole source contract to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. to provide ongoing support services for the Siemens Artis Zeego imaging system at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. This action is justified under FAR 13.106-1, as no other vendor is capable of supporting the existing system, making full and open competition impractical. The procurement is in the pre-award phase with no formal solicitation documents available, and all responses must be submitted as written notifications via email to jerri.schuster@va.gov by 12:00 PM Central Time on June 26, 2026. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted, and while any firm may respond, the Government retains sole discretion to determine whether to proceed with the sole source award regardless of submissions received. The place of performance is clearly identified as the Madison VA Hospital, though no contract period, pricing details, delivery schedules, or performance metrics are provided in the notice. Payment, invoicing, contracting officer representative, and technical representative information are not specified, and no standard FAR clauses, packaging requirements, inspection criteria, or socioeconomic certifications are included in the documentation. The sole regulatory basis for this acquisition is FAR 13.106-1, and the contract will be negotiated directly with Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. if no viable alternatives are identified.
