The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, through its Network Contracting Office 6 in Hampton, VA, intends to award a new sole-source, firm-fixed-price IDIQ contract to Pitney Bowes, Inc. for the Durham VA Health Care System. This contract is specifically for the SendPro 360 Inbound Tracking Software and cloud services to support the mailroom system, determined to be a brand-name only requirement due to the specialized nature of the product, which is only available from this single source without causing unacceptable delays or increased costs. In addition, the Salem VA Medical Center requires water treatment services including monitoring, sampling, testing, and reporting for their water distribution system. Since the Salem VAMC's water system is a consecutive system receiving water solely from the City of Salem's water distribution, only the City of Salem can provide licensed waterworks operators meeting the Virginia Code 12VAC5-590 Waterworks Regulations, making it the only responsible source for this procurement. This notice serves as an informational announcement, not a solicitation for competitive bids, with a limited opportunity for interested firms to express capability within three calendar days of the notice by contacting the designated contract specialist, Ayeshia Tucker. The government emphasizes that the announcement does not obligate it to purchase and clarifies that submissions containing proprietary data must be properly marked, with no payment for any information provided. The water treatment service contract is designated under solicitation number 36C24623Q0411, NAICS code 541380, and the announcement closes on February 6, 2023.
