Full Description

The Permittee will conduct maintenance and repair work along the damaged Jack London Square Webster Street outfall pipeline in the City of Oakland, Alameda County (37.793167, -122.275083). Maintenance activities include replacing the damaged steel corrugated pipe with a new steel corrugated pipe and installing metal pipe joint bands and stakes to support the new pipe. The 160-foot-long and 54-inch-wide damaged pipe will be replaced with a new 160-foot-long and 52-inch-wide pipe. The metal pipe joint bands will be installed every 20 feet and anchored to concrete with 6- to 8-inch metal stakes for structural support. Metal pipe joint bands include a layer of rubber between the pipe and joint band and will require no sealant. The metal stakes will be anchored into concrete and require no backfilling. Materials used will include the corrugated steel pipe, rubber liners for the pipe joint band, pipe joint bands and metal stakes, and will be installed by hand using portable carpentry hand tools.
