Jet Lathe with 3inch bore, 18-inch swing height

The Food and Drug Administration is forecasting the acquisition of a new Jet Lathe with a 3-inch spindle bore and an 18-inch swing height, set to be approved in fiscal year 2025. This equipment upgrade will substantially enhance the capabilities of the agency’s machine shop by doubling the spindle bore size from the current 1.5-inch limit and more than doubling the swing height from 8 inches to 18 inches, enabling the processing of larger and more complex components.
