The work to be performed under these specifications consists of furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for mobilization to the site; site preparation; excavation and disposal or recycling of soils contaminated with petroleum; excavation, removal, and disposal of a 300 gallon abandoned underground storage tank (UST); excavation, removal, and disposal of septic tank and attached lines within the excavation zone of the UST; excavation of overburden soils from areas of contaminated groundwater and stockpile for later use; as needed dewatering and treatment of water from excavation locations to improve excavation stability; mixing of bioremediation reagents into the 2-feet of soil at the bottom of the remediation locations; and backfilling the excavations with stockpiled overburden soils, salvaged soils, or approved import material and associated project restoration as shown on the Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.
