Solicitation Number: FA2517-17-R-6001 Notice Type: Presolicitation Synopsis: The 21st Contracting Squadron at Peterson AFB is preparing to fulfill a requirement for the North Central Joint Personal Property Shipments Office (JPPSO), Colorado Springs, Colorado, for preparation of personal property of Department of Defense personnel for shipment, and/or storage, and related services throughout the state of Colorado in accordance with the Direct Procurement Method as described in Chapter 404 of the Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR), Part IV (Personal Property). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this acquisition is 488991 with a size standard of $27.5M. This acquisition will be a 100% Small Business set-aside. A 5 year, firm fixed-price requirements contract is anticipated to be awarded in October 2017, with period of performance beginning approximately 1 November 2017 to 31 October 2022. A written solicitation will be posted to this site on approximately 10 July 2017 to facilitate proposal preparation and evaluation. Prior to award, contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (https://www.sam.gov) and provide certification of storage facilities from the Storage Management Office. DTR, Part IV, Appendix D provides requirements for the facility, and DTR, Part IV, Appendix E provides the contractor further information and instructions. For contractors that do not currently hold this certification, the average lead time for DoD facility certification is 6-12 months. The Government will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation requirements and will be most advantageous to the Government.
