Jurupa Valley High School Well Bypass Project

The Jurupa Valley High School Well Bypass Project involves the complete demolition, installation, and commissioning of water and sewer infrastructure to support a bypass system, including approximately 50 linear feet of new 6-inch PVC C-909 water main and 140 linear feet of new 4-inch PVC SDR-35 sewer main. The scope encompasses the installation of a water meter, chlorine analyzer, flow meter, reduced pressure backflow device, swing check valve, gate valves, and an enclosure structure, along with connections to existing utility mains. All work requires trenching, bedding, backfilling, compaction, paving, surface restoration, electrical integration, and instrumentation setup, with strict adherence to ASTM, AWWA, NSF 60/61, and California Title 22 standards. Materials must be new, meet manufacturer specifications, and be properly marked with manufacturer name, material type, class, and wall thickness; HDPE pipe and gaskets require specific storage conditions to prevent damage, UV degradation, and corrosion, with steel fittings needing sacrificial zinc anode caps. Work must comply with the District’s approved material list and most stringent requirement when conflicts arise.
