U.S. Special Operations Command intends to contract with Telephonics Corporation for the upgrade of Star Com ICS Communications Select Control Panel assemblies used in MH-47G helicopters. The government will provide the required capacitors and resistors as government furnished equipment, while the contractor will handle the induction inspection, disassembly, upgrade, re-assembly, functional testing, packaging, and shipment of the modified units. The solicitation for this project was estimated for release on July 24, 2006, with a required period of performance not to exceed nine months. Although the government intends to negotiate with a single source, it will consider other proposals from capable firms received by the specified deadline.
