The 50th Contracting Squadron at Schriever Air Force Base intends to award a sole source purchase order to Agilent Technologies for specific electronic test equipment, including a Vector Signal Generator (Model No. E8267D-PSG), an 80 MHz Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator (Model No. 33250A), and a Vector Signal Analyzer (Model No. 89600S-899600). This procurement is justified under the Federal Acquisition Regulation sections 6.303 and 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), as Agilent Technologies is the only responsible source capable of providing supplies fully compatible with an existing proprietary system owned by Agilent. Compatibility is essential to integrate the new equipment with the current 25th Space Communications Squadron laboratory infrastructure, thereby avoiding costly retraining, technical reconfiguration, and mission-critical downtime. The acquisition will proceed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, leveraging NAICS code 334290, with the contract reference FA2550-06-P-2024. An ombudsman has been appointed to address any concerns but does not influence contract selection or protests. Interested parties must first direct any issues to the contracting officer before escalating. The announcement serves as the sole notice, with a closing date of June 20, 2006, at 2 p.m. CST. For further inquiries, the contracting specialist Chad K. Bowman and the contracting lead Ralph Tisdale are the primary points of contact.
