The subject aircraft, BuNo 168071currently in North Carolina, has an incoming defect on a discharge valve,
affecting cabin pressurization, placing the aircraft in a restricted flight status, where the aircraft is not authorized
for extended flights over water. As a result of the aircraft flight restriction and considering the aircraft location,
the most appropriate course of action is to utilize Cascade. Cascade is the only MAC awardee with a contract
approved facility within range of the aircraft and is capable of providing the required services at the necessary
quality level. This procurement is to restore the full flight capability of BuNo 168071 by having Cascade perform
the PMI at the Cascade facility.
