The County of Hawai'i (County) is soliciting a Request for Proposals (RFP) to upgrade the Kealakehe Wastewater Treatment Plant (KWWTP) treatment process to consistently and reliably produce treated wastewater that meets the quality standards applicable to R-1 recycled water as set forth in "Reuse Guidelines, Volume 1: Recycled Water Facilities" prepared by the Hawaii State Department of Health Wastewater Branch January in 2016 https://health.hawaii.gov/wastewater/files/2021/10/V1_RWFacilities1.pdf , and is in compliance with HAR §11-62-27.
