This is not a request for proposals. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. This is strictly a synopsis to inform industry about an upcoming requirement. The Government will not accept any proposals based on this notice. At this time, questions will not be accepted or answered. Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) - Pacific intends to issue a Request for Proposal for School Bus Safety Aide (SA) for special needs students, Safety Bus Attendant (SAA) services for Sure Start, pre-kindergarten through grade 2 students, and Bus Security Attendants (BSA) for other students attending DoDEA Pacific schools located within the Korea District. The contractor shall provide all personnel, materials, supervision, training and other items and services necessary to perform SA, SAA, and BSA duties for designated Korea District busses. Projected period of performance is 1 January 2016 - 31 December 2016 with four one-year optional periods. This acquisition will be solicited as a full and open competitive procurement using the procedures in FAR Part 12 - Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5.
