This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 – Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. In association with FAR 5.203(a)(2) this solicitation will be posted for less than fifteen (15) days.
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award on a firm fixed price (FFP) service order for the following L3 Harris Global Communications, Inc (L3H) radio repair on a Sole Source basis, no substitutions allowed.
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) requires the repair of L3 Harris radio assemblies. The radios are part of land-based and mobile test sites. The Radio assemblies have been used to test High Frequency (HF) communications with Naval Units for over a decade. Not having the ability to test HF communications with Naval Units may lead to ships having decreased HF communications.
This requirement is being solicited on a SOLE SOURCE BASIS as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811210: Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Small Business Size Standard is $34,000,000. The Product Service Code (PSC) is J059: Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment- Electrical and Electronic Equipment Components.
