Lac La Biche County - Invitation to Bid - Bold Center Road Network Infrastructure Installation (Phase 1 and Phase 2)

The contract involves comprehensive infrastructure upgrades along Bold Center Road in Alberta under Phase 1 and Phase 2, encompassing extensive earthworks, utility relocation, and new installations. Key activities include the removal and disposal of existing storm sewers, manholes, curbs, asphalt, concrete, and gravel base course, alongside the reuse of over 7,800 cubic meters of gravel base. New infrastructure includes 1,230 meters of 300mm PVC sanitary sewer, 1,438 meters of 525mm Ultra Rib storm sewer, 332 meters of 750mm and 402 meters of 900mm PVC Ultra X2 storm sewers, and a 900mm PVC line with a 1,200mm stainless steel casing installed via boring. Seven new 1,200mm and eleven new 1,500mm sulfate-resistant manholes are to be installed with floating frames and covers, along with tie-ins to existing systems. Watermain work includes 746 meters of 150mm and 300mm PVC DR18 pipe with associated gate valves, fire hydrants, and service connections. Storm and sanitary services must remain uninterrupted throughout construction through continuous bypass pumping, and water supply to residents must be maintained at all times. The project also entails extensive site reconstruction with 101,790 square meters of sub-grade preparation, 25,324 cubic meters of new gravel base course, 43,458 square meters of cement stabilization, and installation of geotextile and geogrid layers. Paving includes 59,412 square meters of hotmix asphalt in two lifts, coupled with pavement markings and signage. New features include 1,045 meters of concrete walk, 1,760 meters of concrete monowalk, 4,690 meters of curb and gutter, 345 meters of V-gutter, a 40 square meter retaining wall, and 35 new roadway light fixtures. Landscaping involves 27,876 square meters of topsoil, 19,512 square meters of mechanical seeding, and 8,364 square meters of sod.
