Lac La Biche County (the “County”) invites the submission of Proposals from qualified Consultants or teams of qualified professional services firms (the “Consultant”) with demonstrated experience in arboriculture, urban forestry, and plant biology to develop an Urban Forest Management Vision and Plan (the “Project”) for Lac La Biche County, specifically for the Hamlets of Lac La Biche and Plamondon. The Project consists of establishing a Tree Inventory; conducting Tree Canopy Analysis and Growth Modeling and Public Consultation; creating an Urban Forestry Vision; developing Tree Planting and Pruning Strategies and an Urban Forestry Management Plan with Key Performance Indicators; and providing training for municipal staff. The selected Consultant shall review available tree plans, parks plans, urban forestry policy, and Council priorities to understand the context in which the UFMP will be created.
