Bridge File 01966 (SW 14-38-25-W4M) Carrying Range Road 252 over Jones Creek, 20 km E of Red Deer. Work at this site includes the removal and disposal of the existing three span 6.1 – 6.1 – 6.1 m HC girder bridge on a treated timber substructure and the installation of a new three span 6.0 – 8.0 – 6.0 m SL-510 concrete girder bridge on a steel substructure. The crossing is located on a local road over Jones Creek, 20 km east of Red Deer. A location plan has been included in the Plans section of this document for the Contractor’s convenience. Lacombe County - 25 - Tender No. 01966-26 SPECIAL PROVISIONS Without limiting the provisions of these Specifications and Contract, the Scope of Work at this site shall include the following: • Traffic Accommodation • Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Testing • Water Management • Demolition and Disposal of Bridge Structure • Headslope Preparation and Backfill • Supply, Set-up, and Driving of Piling • Abutment, Pier, and Wingwall Construction • Supply, Delivery, and Erection of Prestressed SL-510 Interior and Exterior Precast Units • Supply and Installation of Bridgerail and Guardrail • Roadway Work • Supply and Placement of Class 1 Heavy Rock Riprap • Supply and Placement of Erosion Control Soil Covering and Barriers Each bidder, in submitting a tender, acknowledges that he has examined the site and the surrounding area, and is familiar with all conditions and /or restrictions that could affect or limit his operations due to such things as environmental constraints, public traffic, and property of others. Unless otherwise specified, the Contractor must supply all materials necessary to complete the Work. A complete job is called for, therefore any labour, material, equipment, tool or incidental item not specifically mentioned, but necessary for completeness will be considered incidental to the Work, and no separate or additional payment will be made. The warranty period for all work on this Contract shall be for two years from project completion.
