Bid #ACFD 26-02: The project consists of the demolition, removal, and disposal of the remains of the Castro Valley Market building located at 18911 Lake Chabot Road, Castro Valley, CA. The contractor is responsible for providing all equipment and personnel for the work. Key tasks include pulverizing walls in a standing position due to proximity to adjacent properties, using rubber-tracked or wheeled equipment to protect existing asphalt, and crushing concrete on-site to be sorted into base rock and drain rock. The contractor is also responsible for the proper disposal of all off-hauled debris and must conduct a final walk-through with the ACFD Project Manager for project acceptance.
