Land Lease and License Agreement with the Department of Air Force for Fresno Air National Guard Base (CANG).

The City of Fresno Airports Department has entered into a Land Lease and License Agreement with the United States Department of the Air Force for the operation of the California Air National Guard 144th Fighter Wing at Fresno Yosemite International Airport. This agreement extends the existing lease for an additional forty years, establishing a new expiration date of April 30, 2065. The extension supports the transition of aircraft operations, specifically the stationing of new F-15EXs and the discontinuation of F-15Cs. The scope of the agreement allows for the continued use of existing airport infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, and navigational aids, and includes ongoing maintenance and repairs to keep the facilities functional. The project is designated as exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 and Section 15061(b)(3), as it involves no alterations to the building footprint, no substantial increase in capacity or use, and no significant physical environmental impacts.
