Full Description
Sealed bids for the Landfill Collection Facility will be received by Franklin County, Attn: Corey White, 1255 Franklin Street, Suite 111, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 until 2:00 PM local time on Friday, October 16th, at which time bids will be opened and read aloud.
The project consists of the improvements to an existing solid waste collection facility with associated grading, paving, concrete pad, and electrical conduits. Fencing will be an add alternate at the Owner’s option. Dumpsters, scales, lighting, and attendant’s building will be performed by the Owner.
Copies of the contract documents may be examined by appointment only at the office of Engineering Concepts, Inc., 94 Greenfield Street, Daleville, Virginia 24083 during normal business hours.
Hard copies of the documents may be purchased for $75.00 from Engineering Concepts, Inc., 94 Greenfield Street, Daleville, Virginia 24083. The payment is nonrefundable.
The payment shall be in the form of a check or money order with the name of the project written on the payment.
A digital copy of the documents may be obtained by emailing at no charge.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held for the project on Thursday, September 10th at 1:00 PM at the project site off Sontag Road.
Should the apparent low Bid exceed available funds, the Owner reserves the right to negotiate with the apparent low bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds. Bidders shall comply with Virginia Code Section 54.1-1112 regarding information required with Bid. Envelopes containing Bids shall be clearly marked with the Bidder’s contractor license number.
