George Mason University is seeking proposals under RFP GMU-KS0811-26 to secure comprehensive landscape maintenance services for several of its facilities, including the Fairfax, Arlington, Price William, Front Royal, Potomac Science Center, and Point of View campuses. While the University intends to award a single contract covering all locations, vendors have the option to bid on all, some, or a single site. However, any bid for a specific campus must cover that entire location rather than partial areas. The solicitation was posted on August 26, 2026, with a response deadline of September 25, 2026. All proposals will be evaluated using the same criteria regardless of the number of sites included in the bid, and the University maintains absolute discretion over the final number of contracts awarded.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations with one or more qualified vendors to provide comprehensive landscape maintenance services at the Fairfax, Arlington, Price William (SciTech), Front Royal (SMSC), Potomac Science Center, and Point of View campuses/facilities for the Facilities Department of George Mason University. George Mason University (herein after referred to as “George Mason,” “Mason,” “GMU”, or “University”) is a public institution of higher education and agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
It is the University’s intent to award only one contract for all sites. However, offerors may offer on one, some, or all of the campuses/sites listed below and will still be considered for award. All offerors will be scored based on the same evaluation criteria regardless of how many or few sites they offer on. Please clearly state in your proposal if you are offering on all sites/campuses, only some of the sites/campuses or only one site/campus and clearly identify what campuses/sites you are offering on. It is at the University’s total and absolute discretion how many contracts/firms are awarded.
Note that offerors must offer on the entirety of a campus or site (we will not accept partial offers for a particular campus or site/facility). As an example, if you are offering on the Fairfax campus, it must be the entirety of the Fairfax campus and not just portions/areas of the campus.
