Landscape Maintenance Services

The City of Walterboro, South Carolina, is seeking proposals for routine landscape maintenance services to maintain a professional and safe appearance across approximately 2.22 acres of designated areas. Managed by the Parks Department, the scope of work includes mowing, edging, trimming, litter collection, and the inspection and repair of irrigation systems. The service areas are primarily located along the I-95 loop, including the Northbound and Southbound exit-ramp inner triangles, mile-out beds, and the Sniders Highway and Jefferies Boulevard medians. The contract requires a joint written and photographic baseline of conditions before work begins, and contractors must provide a written monthly maintenance report by the fifth business day of each month. The contract pricing is fixed for the period from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with the possibility of one or two additional one-year extensions. Bidders must provide pricing for three options: Base Bid A (biweekly service), Alternate Bid B (weekly service), and Alternate Bid C (biweekly service excluding mile-out beds), as well as biweekly winter service. Proposals are due by 2:00 PM EDT on October 21, 2026, and must be submitted as a sealed bid to the Parks Director. Award selection will be based on the best overall value, evaluating factors such as completeness, responsiveness, qualifications, and demonstrated ability rather than solely on the lowest price.
