Full Description

The U.S. Department of State's Office of Acquisition Management (A/LM/AQM) is seeking firms with experience in manufacturing Laser Dazzler systems. The minimum specifications are as follows: 500 Milliwatt, 532nm (green) flashing four (4) laser system, dual battery power supply, minimum eye safe range - 20 meters (without holographic diffusers), 3 meters (with holographic diffusers, maximum effective range: 200 meters - bright sunlight, 2 kilometers - night, weighing less than 3 lbs. Additionally, the company should be able to produce at least 150 systems and all spare parts and accessories related to the aforementioned Laser Dazzler system. The Government is requesting information in the form of proposed designed technical data packages with specifications and approximate number of days to manufacture and deliver 150 laser dazzler systems from interested manufacturers for this market survey. Interested firms should submit an email package no later than March 23, 2011, to Mark J. Bohac, email address Bohacmj@state.gov. The following information should be part of the email notice of interest: Contractor name; Dunn and Bradstreet Number, Cage Code and Headquarters address; Point of contact with telephone number and email address; Size of business; and country represented in which manufacturing takes place; All submittals should include at least three (3) points of contact from Government or other types of law enforcement agencies that have purchased your firm's systems in the past or currently use your firm's systems; and All package submittals should include the most recent testing and inspection reports conducted by Government or third party entities which demonstrate the quality of the system, laser targeting accuracy, reliability and interchangeability of the proposed laser dazzler system.
