The scope of work for this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for the reconstruction of the launchway at Burin, NL, in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings, which will be provided during phase 2 of this process; and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.
In general, the work under this contract consists of, but will not be limited to, the following:
.1 Demolition and removal of the existing launchway, as noted on the drawings.
.2 Construction of a new reinforced concrete launchway, complete with wheelguard and perimeter rip rap, to the dimensions as indicated on the drawings.
.3 Supply and installation of rock/gravel fill, granular base support for new launchway slab and asphalt paving, as noted on the drawings.
The Contractor must begin at contract award and be completed twelve (12) weeks later.
This is the first phase (Phase 1) of a two-phase competition: the first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all bidders; second phase (Phase 2) will invite the qualified bidders to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Upon award of contract in Phase Two the pre-qualification list will be terminated, no additional contracts will be awarded.
