Background and Purpose McMaster University invites qualified bidders to submit responses for the supply of Laundry Equipment and Services for its Housing and Conference Services in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposals. Housing and Conference Services strives to assist students to meet their academic and personal goals in an environment that encourages and supports excellence. As a department of Student Affairs, it is dedicated to creating a healthy, safe, secure, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing residential and working environment. Bidders must quote the entire bid. Partial bids will not be accepted. Scope/Objective McMaster is seeking to engage a qualified supplier for the provision of a turnkey residence laundry solution, including the supply, installation, and ongoing maintenance and service of washers, dryers and any laundry card reload machines. The University requires a fleet of laundry equipment consisting of about 169 washers and dryers that are accessible, durable, attractive, convenient and energy efficient. The on-campus housing capacity consists of about 4,100 beds with 2,000+ of these available for summer accommodation. There is a total of thirteen (13) residence buildings, offering single, double, triple and suite/apartment accommodation. Each of the laundry rooms per Section 5.2(j) is to be equipped with a reloadable laundry card machine. ​​​​​​​ Term ​​​​​​​The term of this agreement is for a period of six (6) years.
