Full Description

The Black Hills National Forest has a requirement for services to thin pine and scattering spruce (where present) to a desired spacing of 20' x 20'. All existing slash and cut trees less than 5" DBH shall be slashed in place to a slash height not to exceed 18". All cut trees less than 9" DBH and greater than 5.1" DBH shall be skidded to an approved landing and decked for resale purposes. Contractor is encouraged to use mechanical equipment for all cutting and skidding. Work will be conducted on the Hell Canyon Ranger District, Black Hills National Forests, Custer & Pennington Counties, South Dakota. All work under this contract shall be completed no later than October 28, 2014. Option Item unit will be added as additional funding is secured. The completion date of this contract will not be adjusted or lengthened for added Option Item units.
