Full Description

The USDA, ARS, Western Regional Research Center, Albany, California has a requirement for one-year full-coverage service support of a Leica Microsystems confocal microscope SP5 UV/405 AOBS Conv Scan. The premium care service plan includes unlimited on-site visits; unlimited replacement service parts, components, and modules; unlimited access to applications and technology support; biosafety level 2 support; and software updates. The Government intends to negotiate with the only known responsible source, Leica Microsystems, Inc., in providing maintenance and service support for the Leica confocal microscope SP5 UV/405 AOBS 561 Conv Scan. Justification for this award is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A solicitation is not available for this notice. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This solicitation incorporates the following commercial FAR clauses by reference 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5.
