AI Contract Overview
The National Institutes of Health, under the Department of Health and Human Services, is seeking a Leica M320 diagnostic ENT with a 4K camera for the Briggs LSR Section. This surgical microscope is essential for conducting animal surgeries related to post-stroke vision recovery, visual system functionality, and studies on attention deficits and autism spectrum disorders. The equipment is critical for maintaining collaborative contributions to extramurally funded projects and ensuring necessary tools are available for arriving animals. Failure to acquire this equipment by May 2025 would delay critical translational science and jeopardize ongoing research collaborations. The project operates within a broad period of performance from 2015 to 2029. This presolicitation is managed by the office in Bethesda, Maryland, with a response deadline set for August 23, 2026.
