AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Government is seeking information from potential lessors of nonresidential office space in Blue Springs, Missouri, as it prepares to vacate its current leased premises whose lease is set to expire. The agency requires approximately 2,050 square feet of space and is evaluating whether relocating to alternate facilities would be economically advantageous, taking into account relocation costs such as physical move expenses, replication of tenant improvements, telecommunications infrastructure, and potential agency downtime. This effort is formalized under a sources-sought notice with solicitation number DAA415270000500, issued by the Department of Defense’s W071 Endist Kansas City office, with responses due by August 4, 2026. Proposals must address lease compliance with extensive federal and GSA regulatory frameworks, including FAR and GSAR clauses governing subletting, non-disturbance, tenant substitution, maintenance, payment, labor standards, subcontracting, cybersecurity, and small business utilization. All construction and alterations must meet RECO approval and result in a Certificate of Occupancy or equivalent engineering verification prior to lease commencement. The lessor is responsible for full design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the space, including material reuse, system compliance, and submission of as-built drawings in .DWG format. Contractual obligations include adherence to cybersecurity mandates such as safeguarding Federal Contract Information, prohibitions on equipment from Kaspersky Lab and other covered entities, and requirements for Personal Identity Verification (PIV) for contractor personnel.
