Nashville Electric Service is seeking a concentrated liquid detergent in 55-gallon drums for the brushless washing of its diverse fleet of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and construction equipment. The detergent must be biodegradable, non-flammable, non-abrasive, and free of caustics, acids, bleach, and chlorinated hydrocarbons, ensuring it is safe for all automotive and fiberglass surfaces without causing etching, fading, streaking, or leaving electrically conductive residues. It must effectively remove road film, oil, grease, and exhaust soot when diluted at a ratio of one part detergent to fifty parts cold water, requiring no brushing or scrubbing, while remaining a uniform, free-flowing liquid without wax or sediment. The product must perform reliably in high-pressure washers using both cold and hot water up to 205 degrees Fahrenheit without causing scale deposits, mix easily without agitation or settling, and be compatible with local sanitary sewer systems. All deliveries must be made to four designated NES fleet service centers in Nashville, and vendor-supplied drums are to be retrieved with each delivery at no cost to NES. The solicitation closes on July 2, 2026, and inquiries should be directed to Alan Martinez at Nashville Electric Service.
