SOURCES SOUGHT (Long-Range Planning Calendar) The Defense Media Activity (DMA) Contracting Office is seeking sources for a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software that is a web-based, feature rich long-range planning calendar. This Request for Information (RFI) is being issued to help determine the availability and technical capability of qualified companies capable of meeting the Government requirement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), NOR IS A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the requesting party to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor quotes. No award will be made as a result of this RFI. The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. This GSA Advantage sources sought notice is an announcement seeking market information. Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of Government's evaluation of the information received. As a result of this Request for Information (RFI), the Government may issue a Request for Quote (RFQ); however, should such requirements materialize, no basis for claims against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this Request for Information (e.g., use of such information as either part of its evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 511210 with a size standard of $35.5 million. The calendar must support global collaboration and communication via the DMA NIPRNet site which is Common Access Card (CAC) enabled. The calendar needs to be a commercial of the shelf (COTS) product that is easily deployed on existing DMA NIPRNet infrastructure and requires minimal customization. The calendar should have an annual service and support agreement to ensure continuous feature enhancement and reliability. Since the product is COTS, we have no expectation for a period of performance just an annual service/support fee. The salient characteristics the Government deems essential are listed below to provide respondents a better understanding of the needs of the Defense Media Activity. The purpose of this notice is to identify interested vendors - large businesses, small businesses, 8(a), Veterans Owned, etc., and to determine if a set-aside is warranted. Responses should speak to the ability to satisfy the requirements described in the salient characteristics. Salient Characteristics for the DMA Web-based, Long-range Planning Calendar/Functional Characteristics. The product must be able to provide/support the following: * Web-based calendar software * Multiple Calendars (50 or more calendars) * Multiple Calendar Viewing via single calendar view on single web page * Multiple Calendar Types (By Department, Event Type, etc.) * Display time based on users' time zone * Users can add an event from the web-based calendar to their personal calendar * Have a robust filter for events, locations, departments * Supports a Splash or Landing page, roll-up of current/featured/upcoming/deadline events * The landing page also provides a quick look at the event of choice without having to drill into the calendar, e.g. if a user sees an event in the "Today's Events" area, the user clicks on the event and it opens as a window within the page, it does not take the user to the calendar itself. The Landing page is dynamic. * Export to Comma-separated values (CSV) file format for use in spreadsheets * Day, week, month and year views * Able to hover over an event to get a description with level of detail for who, what, when where and why * Add attachments and other rich material to the events * Able to migrate the data in the back-end database * Able to archive data if calendar is no longer needed. Archived calendars can be viewed by admin users. * Support overlay/linear view of multiple layers of calendars * Able to add link(s) to other sites in the home page * Manage Conference Room Calendars. Allow employee to request and admin to approve. * A Group View allows the grouping of multiple calendars so that their schedules can be displayed side-by-side for any calendar day. * RSS Feeds for integration into DMA internal website * Permissions (work on a secured intranet website) * Administration and User Control (Admin, Create, Read, Update, Submit, Archive) * User Access restricted to view specific calendars * Operate in the MS Windows, IIS, MS SQL Server environments * Supports all web browsers * LDAP Integration * Training and installation support The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be a part of your submittal. If so, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information. At a minimum, provide the following information in your submittal: (1) Name of company; (2) Name of company's POC, including address, phone, and email; (3) Identify the type of entity (large business, small business, small disadvantage, woman-owned, 8(a), HUBZone, service disabled veteran-owned, etc,). Send submittals to: Defense Media Activity-Contracting Office, via email to Mark.Bates@dma.mil. Telephone responses or inquiries will not be accepted.
